Monday 17th June – Reception in the Town Hall hosted by Stockholm City
In the first evening of the conference, the BIOPOL attendees will have the privilege to attend a welcome reception at the City Hall. The Stockholm City Hall, with its spire featuring the golden Three Crowns, is one of the most famous silhouettes in Stockholm. It is one of the country’s leading examples of national romanticism in architecture. The Stockholm City Hall is also home to the great Nobel banquet, which takes place right after the Nobel Prize ceremony. The attendees will have the opportunity to visit the Blue Hall, where the Nobel Prize laureates, royalty and guests have dinner, and also the Golden Hall, with its 18 million gold mosaic tiles, where the royal dance takes place after dinner.

Tuesday 18th June – Conference dinner
The conference dinner will take place by the Vasa Museum (Vasamuseet). The Vasa Museum is one of Scandinavia's most visited museums. It is here that you will find in all its glory, the unique and well preserved warship Vasa from 1628, embellished with hundreds of wooden sculptures.
Around 1.5 million visitors every year enjoy the exhibitions in the museum, which describe the warship Vasa's history and life at the time; how, after 333 years at the bottom of Stockholm bay, the ship was rediscovered and salvaged; and the research which is now underway to preserve Vasa. The Vasa Museum lies in the royal parkland, Djurgården, where the attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy the great views of the city between the Baltic Sea and the Lake Mälaren.
The guests will enjoy the delicacies from the modern Nordic cuisine, at the same time as experiencing the beautiful late sunset reflexing on the calm waters and the summer light nights.
